Evergreen Cemetery Benevolent Society was created to work along side Evergreen Cemetery
to aid in conservation and repairing the older sections of the cemetery where there are no longer family members left
to care for the gravesites, many of which date to the early 1870's .

It Is Back and Bigger Than Ever!
Hosted this year by Evergreen Cemetery
The Annual Evergreen Cemetery Walking Tour will take place on
SEPTEMBER 18th from 10am until 1pm (last tour leaves at 1:00pm)
Highlights will include meeting many of the area's early pioneers, but this year we are including interactive
and static displays to bring history to life. You will meet a miner, chaser or the cure, writers, suffragist and more.
This self guided tour will take you through some of the most historic areas of
the cemetery.
The cost is $10 per person with children
12 and under FREE.
Please note this is a walking tour so
wear comfortable shoes! Proceeds from this event are used for the continued conservation work at Evergreen Cemetery.

May
31st - Memorial Day event at the chapel
This event is to commemorate those that served
in the military and many that lost their lives in war. We will begin at 9am at the chapel, which is located just 100 yards
within the cemetery gates. We will have military re enactors representing soldiers from many different wars. We will have
the Buffalo soldiers riding through the cemetery on their way to the Spanish American war section to commemorate a veteran
there. We, at this time, will have a WASP (Women's Air Force Service Pilots) attending. We will have a balloon release
at noon and serve refreshments. We hope you can attend.
June 11th - ECBS volunteer
and cemetery personnel BBQ 11am to 1pm at the chapel
